Can you get certain Pokemon from Research Breakthroughs on certain days?

Question

I've noticed that I usually complete my Research Breakthrough on Saturdays, and I've gotten a Registeel every single time. Is each day of the week set with a certain Pokemon or am I unlucky?

I'm pretty sure it's completely random. I always get my breakthroughs on the same  day of the week and I've gotten a good mix of Pokémon.

Actually, it resets every 2 months I think, and you only have 10% chance of getting a registeel, so it's just bad luck...
