Hi, I'm playing Pokemon pearl and I'm trying to get a 100-win streak. I have made a team of a Mamoswine and Cresselia but I'm unsure which Pokemon I should lead with. These are the Pokemon:
Name: Raikou
Ev's: 252 Speed, 252 Sp. attack, 4 Defense
Nature: Rash
Moves: Thunder, Rain dance, Weather ball, Aura sphere
Item: Damp rock
Ability: Pressure
or
Name: Kingdra
Ev's: 252 Speed, 252 Sp. attack, 4 HP
Nature: Modest
Moves: Rain dance, Surf, Draco meteor, Ice beam
Item: White Herb
Ability: Swift swim
Answers would be appreciated!

Arceus.
Heatran is probably the best Pokemon in the game. It resists just about everything, and flamethrower and earth power are a great coverage combination. You can use Heatran.
Also after reading the Horus person's comment, I wanted to add that if you already outspeed most of your threats, any more speed is useless. On the other hand, any extra attack power is more likely to be useful. To not waste investment on speed, you can make sure you barely outspeed the threats on this list. https://www.smogon.com/ingame/bc/dp_bt_pokemon Their base speed can be found on many sites, like Bulbapedia.
Also also defensive Pokemon tend to be less viable in 3v3. A super effective attack or a random status move, like double team or swagger, can drastically weaken a wall. Based on my experience, the best Pokemon tend to be the ones with a high attack stat and can learn either many different types of attacks or a status move that further raises the attack stat.
@guy Have you ever used Arceus in the Battle Tower? Can you show us a record?
Haven’t ever used Arceus in nettle tower, however... Arceus is the strongest Pokémon in Gen 4.
It's not strong at all if it's banned.
What if I make a team consisting of Heatran, Mamoswine and Starmie?
I personally don't see anything wrong with that team.

This is the best Heatran set I could find.

Heatran @ choice scarf
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Rash nature
- flamethrower
- earth power
- dragon pulse
- explosion

However, if your other 2 teammates are Starmie and Mamoswine, then Tyranitar would cover more types that your other Pokemon don't cover.

Tyranitar @ Lum berry
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly nature
- dragon dance
- crunch
- rock slide
- earthquake

Luckily I already have a tyranitar built just like that, maybe I should try that team out.
So do you think that Starmie, mamoswine and tyranitar or heatran, weavile and garchomp is better in the tower?
I'm not sure, but I guess the first one
