Is there an easy way to farm Shiny Eevee in LeafGreen?

My current theory is that if I just save outside the room where you get Eevee, I can just switch my Gameboy Advance off and on again without saving, and the Eevee should be reset as well, correct? If so, and it may take forever, but I might be able to farm for a Shiny Eevee. Any thoughts? Would this even work?

Yes, this is called an SR, or Soft Reset hunt, and it does work. It just takes a very long time, as you’ve guessed.
PS: you can SR without turning your system off by pressing A + B + Start + Select at the same time. This will save you a few seconds per reset, since it will skip the Game Boy intro.
