If I'm fighting with a Pokemon that has spore and spite, among other things, and I put the opposing Pokemon to sleep after they've used a move, and then I use spite on it, will it continue to work while they're asleep?
In gen 8 (less sure about other generations), spite reduces the PP of the last move the target used, even if the target was asleep, selected a different move, and didn't use that different move. source
