Can pikachu not learn volt tackle in sword?

Volt tackle is in my ideal pika pika moveset and I play sword so please help me.

Yes! It's a bit complex, though. While Pikachu is capable of owning the move Volt Tackle, it is an egg move, meaning it is a move that a Pikachu hatched from an egg knows from hatching.

Additionally, a hatched Pichu will only know Volt Tackle if the Pikachu/Raichu used for breeding is holding a Light Ball when you deposit it into the day care.
