PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

My question is will hacked Pokemon with hidden abilities, that don’t have the correct “history” of where legitimate hidden ability Pokemon come from, get banned in local wireless connection like trading in the union room or battling in the colosseum? Will these Pokemon be banned from the battle tree as well? I don’t have real intentions to do this but I’m curious if I would be able to play and trade Pokemon with illegal evs. This is for offline purposes only, no WiFi battling or GTS. I also have no intention of transferring the Pokemon to newer games with Pokemon home. As a broader and more all inclusive question, where should I look out for legitimacy checks in gen 4 Pokemon games, and what exactly are they checking for?

HAs don’t exist in Gen 4. I’m not super familiar with the Pokémon data substructure in Gen 4, but I know that in Gen 3, it’s actually impossible for a Pokémon to have an illegal ability because of the way the game stores the Pokémon’s ability. Could be the same in Gen 4.
Thanks mate, I’m making a save file on pokedit because my original games burned in the fire. I guess hidden abilities shouldn’t be an option on it
