So what are some good types to have and use in-game? Please put no less than 4 types and no more than 10 types. I'm asking this for my friend who wants to know what are some good types to have in-game.

Id say steel and dragon, because they resist a lot of common types.
Ok, like duraladon?
Fire, it's really offensive
I like fire type, I know it's good
As far as SWSH goes Water and Ghost are fairly important.
Yeah, Grass should be on your team too because I currently don't have grass and that doesn't let me have good hits on ground and water types

Fire
Fire attacks cover Gyms like Milo's and Melony's. They're also solid against the Champion Cup, Chairman Rose, and other random Trainers.

Recommended Pokemon: Cinderace, Arcanine, Centiskorch, Chandelure, Salazzle

Fighting
Fighting attacks are good against Marnie, Gordie's Gym, Melony's Gym, Piers, Chairman Rose, and quite a bit of the Champion Cup.

Recommended Pokemon: Machamp, Pangoro, Lucario, Hawlucha

Ground
Ground types deal effectively with Kabu's Gym, Gordie's Gym, Chairman Rose, some of the Champion Cup, and a lot of random Trainers.

Recommended Pokemon: Excadrill, Mamoswine, Whiscash, Sandaconda, Flygon

Flying
Flying moves can take out Milo's Gym, Bea's Gym, some Pokemon in the Champion Cup, and is a solid coverage type in general. Corviknight in particular is phenomenal.

Recommended Pokemon: Corviknight, Gyarados, Noivern, Togekiss, Hawlucha

Water
While not the best, it has outstanding Pokemon like Dracovish and Barraskewda. Water moves deal nicely with Kabu's Gym, Gordie's Gym, some of Raihan's Gym, and many other random battles.

Recommended Pokemon: Inteleon, Barraskewda, Crawdaunt, Whiscash, Gyarados, Lapras, Dracovish

Dragon
It's a very good type to have in the endgame, proving its worth against foes like Eternatus, Raihan, and quite a bit of Leon's team.

Recommended Pokemon: Noivern, Haxorus, Flygon, Duraludon, Dracovish, Dragapult

Fairy
Fairy has always been a good type. It can take out Bea's Gym, Piers' Gym, part of Raihan's Gym, some of the Champion Cup, and has tremendous coverage on a lot of random Trainers.

Recommended Pokemon: Gardevoir, Togekiss, Sylveon, Grimmsnarl, Mimikyu

Ghost
Ghost is a decent type. They hit Allister super effectively, along with some of Leon's team, and Bede's.

Recommended Pokemon: Gengar, Mimikyu, Aegislash, Chandelure

Hope I helped!

Frick Corviknight I wasted too many TRs on it
I have Gyarados, Cinderace, Lucario, Excadrill, Corviknight, and Toxtricity on my Shield team.
My Cinderace has a decently good fighting type move and my Lucario has Zen Headbutt. My Gyarados also has Ice Fang for coverage.
Is that good?
That sounds like a very solid team to me. Beware Fire types though, half your team is weak to them.
Ok, when there is a fire type, I switch into Gyarados which has Waterfall.
I know, 3 Steel types is not the best choice but my Corviknight has U-turn for pivoting
That's a good idea, yes.
Thank you!
You're welcome! Happy to help.

The types that I think are better than others are fire, water, grass, ghost, psychic, fairy, dragon, and steel. This is my opinion so yours might be different. Also these types fit my playing style.
Thank You

Yours is good too, but you don't say why it's good and when they are useful
