How did I get Palkia from a raid lair I hosted in Sword?

Question

I thought palkia was a version exclusive to Pokemon sheild, so how did I get one in Pokemon sword.
i hosted the raid from my Pokemon sword version.
Does anyone know what happened?

I actually have this same problem. I own Pokemon sword and recently bought the expansion. It seems to me like there is a bug with our passes that are allowing us to catch the exclusives off shield. I have encountered Palkia twice now and no not as one I joined in as but one while I hosted and the other I did offline. I also have a Lunala that again I hosted.

Peonia can give you the location for the other version's exclusives. I got a Dialga raid from her before I started doing randoms online (I'm playing shield). The exclusive list only applies if you end up hosting a random raid.

It is impossible to get Palkia in Sword unless you trade it with someone else. You are probably getting confused with something or other.

You may have joined a dynamax adventure with someone who has Pokemon shield, as palkia is a version exclusive to shield.
