How early can you access the Cram-O-Matic?

Are you able to access it as soon as you get to the Master Dojo, or do you have to have cleared certain trials first?

It can be used at any time after the player has given Hyde 500 Watts to make it operational.

All you have to do is give Hyde the Watts he needs at any time, then it can be used.

As soon as the first cutscene is over you can walk over to the boy in a pink shirt in the room to the right at the computer, talk to him, give him watts, and have access to the Cram-O-Matic.
