Are the Sword and Shield starters nature locked?

I'm trying to get a Scorbunny with a nature that boosts attack or speed. But I need to know if its nature locked first.

Nature locking is not really a done thing aside from very particular event Pokemon.

No. The only Nature-locked starters are the Hidden Ability ones obtained from HOME (Grookey is Adamant, Scorbunny is Jolly, Sobble is Modest). I personally have gotten starters with different Natures, and Leon's Bulbapedia page specifies nothing about Nature-locked starters.
