What is a "poison bag" Pokemon?

this just brought to my curiosity till I tried drowning my opponents with Sludge bomb by using Swalot. yes, what exactly is a poison bag Pokemon? - besides of it based off a genetic organism and or a poison gland, just out of curiosity- or unless it's just, well you know, Game Freak.

It's just Swalot's category. It's a Poison type, and it can consume just about everything, like, well, a bag. You don't need to look into this too deeply.
