Do you need Switch Online to link trade in SWSH?

Question

I want to complete my sword pokedex but I cant get the version exclusives and I dont have a partner. I also dont want to pay for switch online. I searched in google but I couldnt get an answer.

Also if one of you could help me complete my pokedex that would be nice...

Unless using local communication, you must have Nintendo Switch Online in order to trade. If you don't want to pay and you can't use local communication, you're out of luck, sorry. You should ask for help on the chat room or on a dedicated trading board like Reddit.
