It has great Speed, but its Attack is quite low for a pseudo and ot can be killed by Sucker Punch (sorry if this is obvious, I'm new to comp).

I'm pretty sure it's fallen in usage lately due to the rise of Spectrier.
Spectrier is kinda op tbh
On the contrary, Dragapult actually rose in usage. Spectrier is getting rarer these days with every single team having a Tyranitar or Hydreigon. I believe in the current spl, Hydreigon had the second most usage
Huh, hydregion?, I thought it's 4x fairy weakness holds it back.
It does, but there aren't many common fairy attackers. OFC there is magearna, but other than that, you may only have trouble with a clefable using moonblast.
It does. The only reason it's even used is that it completely shuts down Spectrier from doing anything. The only other pokemon that can do that on the same level as Hydreigon is Tyranitar. Hydreigon is actually complete Magearna bait but given how brain dead Spectrier is, anything that can be used to kill it will be looked at. If you want more proof on how insane Spectrier is then just know that freaking Exploud has a niche in ou because of the thing

Some of the reasons why this thing is used a lot in OU. This thing isn't actually run physically most of the time because of its horrid physical movepool. Instead, people run it specially. Let me show you some sets. Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Hex

As you can see, it carries an interesting move in hex. However, do not use hex in a set like this. If you want a hex set, that'll be the next set. Anyways, infiltrator is used to avoid screens. Screens aren't that common, but this is still the best ability. Shadow ball is powerful special ghost stab, Draco Meteor is insanely powerful dragon stab (although a switch might be necessary after that, U-turn is a pivot, and I believe hex is for extra damage on pokes that have been burned or t-waved by a tank. If you want to use hex, which I highly discourage, here is a set. Dragapult @ Leftovers
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hex
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Will-O-Wisp

As you can see, will-o-wisp is to burn and hex is to get extra damage.
Finally if you want a sweeper set,
Dragapult @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Flamethrower

Hope this helps!

Why does the choice specs set know hex if it doesn't use hex? What does Dragapult outspeed by holding a choice scarf?

There's actually a bunch of reasons as to why Dragapult is a good pick in ou

The first reason being its speed. It's literally the second fastest Pokemon in ou atm. This alone is already a very good reason to use it as unlike the fastest mon, Regieleki, Dragapult has a colorful movepool

Of course, speed isn't the only factor otherwise Regieleki would be number one in usage. The second reason is its typing. Ghost is a very potent offensive typing because only two types shrug it off while being a good defensive type as well. Its typing of dragon and ghost also allows Dragapult to be one of the few safe switch ins to Cinderace, which is always appreciated

The third reason is its access to you turn, which when combined with its naturally high speed, acts as a very powerful momentum grabbing Pokemon given how potent its typing is

Lastly and probably the most important reason is its ability, infiltrator. At the moment, Dragapult is probably the single best offensive check to non scarf Spectrier. With how insane that horse is, anything that can kill it will be used and a Pokemon that can force switches which it can abuse with you turn only adds to the reasons it is used

These are just some of the reasons why it's a good pick. With Magearna being nearly omnipresent in ou, it is almost never gonna run a physical set. It usually runs a specs that allows it to you turn on forced switches or make its special attacks hit decently hard. Blissey and Tyranitar are probably the only ones that can take any special attacks Dragapult throws out but they greatly dislike being used as you turn bait
