What is the chances of finding a shiny in the 5 chain of chain fhishing?

so I found someone asking fifth scan radar in platinum, and that make me remember of my shiny seaking.
i was breaking my chain over and over again (i told you I'm not a lucky shiny hunter) but then, suddenly, the 5th chain give me the shiny seaking. what are the odds? this is in Pokemon X and no shiny charm
