PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

Last night, I FINALLY managed to get sync adventure working on Pokemon Go on my Android, but last night before bed, to help me sleep uninterrupted, I shut down my phone for the night, and now this morning, I cannot log into Pokemon Go. I looked up the server status and it SAYS that it's online, so that's not the problem. Is it bricked?

Have you tried relogging in to Pokemon Go? If you are given the message "login failed" when in the loading screen, just hit "try a different account" and then relog in with your username and password.

If you are given that message when you log in with your username and password,  although this isn't very scientific, my method is just to get off the game for a couple hours or days and it will always eventually let you log in, as long as you are using your correct account details.
BaronVonThomason III, I JUST tried both of those things, and neither one has worked...
You got to be more specific. What did it say when you just tried?
-smoothie-, it said that I failed to authenticate. It didn't even let me type in my username and password and it said that.

No, turning off your android with adventure sync turned on will not brick Pokémon Go in itself.

There's been no evidence to support that statement as far as I can find. Unfortunately, I don't know what would've caused it.

As stated above, here is a useful resource for trouble-shooting.
