Why do you need an answer to this question that would take a tediously long time to answer?
To devise a sort of list as to which puzzles are set to the player to reach the gym leader...
I think it’s one thing to ask for a particular game, but it seems kind of crazy to ask for every single gym. Gyms are different even in version exclusives and remakes of each game, so it’s more than 8x8 gyms; it’s more like 16x8 gyms you’d have to look at. For example, platinum and Diamond/Pearl have entirely different gym layouts, and there’s not really a set way to categorize them
How about we just focus on the main generations (RB, GS, RS, DP, BW, XY, and SwSh). We can forgo the remakes/sequels, then (if this'll make it less "intimidating" to everyone).
I still don't see why you need this other than curiosity.
To find a general theme for the gym puzzles...like which type more commonly uses which type of puzzle format.
The theme is to beat all the Gym Trainers and get to the Gym Leader. When you get down to it, there's not much variation between the dozens of moving parts of the Gyms: HG/SS Blackthorn requires you to move pieces around the Gym like Mauville or Veilstone. Petalburg makes you go through a Trainer gauntlet, much like Hammerlocke.

The vast majority of puzzles are the same at their core. You won't be finding much variation.
Then riddle me this: What are the different types of puzzles provided? We both have given various examples.
I just told you...? The vast, *vast* majority of puzzles involve editing entities in the Gym to get to the Gym Leader. Mauville makes you step on switches to move electricity, Veilstone makes you push things along the floor to reach Maylene, Blackthorn makes you rotate your platform and move it along to the end.

The other main subsection of puzzles is the gauntlet. Examples include Aspertia, where you must fight two Trainers before Cheren. B2W2's Opelucid makes you climb the dragon, fighting Veterans as you go. In Hammerlocke, three Trainers must be taken out before Raihan. Norman makes you fight his disciples first.

There's so many that fit both categories. What more is it, exactly, that you want?
Um X, he’s asking for the type of puzzle of each gym. Like, the different types of puzzles in the gyms
Just the different types of puzzle formats (i.e. my example of a quiz-like puzzle and your example of a guantlet).
Yes, Smoothie. Thank you.
I may have misunderstood -- I was under the impression that you wanted every Gym puzzle to find the patterns between them. If this is the case, then I can say with confidence that the most major subsets are the gauntlet and the entity puzzle. Other minor variations exist, like the quiz (Fantina and Clemont), but the overall formation remains the same.

If I was mistaken, I'm sorry for being an idiot :P
Np. The examples in my title and your examples (plus, any you might have missed) will suffice greatly.
They're mostly all mazes with a couple repeated other styles, (quiz, warp panel.)

that took too much time
Congratulations on answering, but what's your source? And if you're not sure that this is the full list, you're better off with a comment than answering.
I feel like Hammerlocke and Ballonlea would also be considered as trainer defeating puzzles. On Ballonlea's specifically its a hybrid with the quiz.
Great, but Seafoam Islands aren't a gym location.
For Ecruteak Gym in HGSS, I'd call it a Guantlet.
The Shalour Gym is considered to be a Skating rink puzzle
.
So far, this answered my question of which gym housed which style variation of puzzle.
Seafoam Islands is a Gym location in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
