PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

So I'm playing Black 2 and my Skorupi starts evolving, I then go to see what moves it learns. At level 49 it learns Cross Poison, and I started wondering "can evolutions of Pokemon learn moves from their pre-evolutions through the move reminder?". So could any of you please tell me because I'm not sure?

No. According to Bulbapedia:

From Generation II to VI and in Generation VIII, the Move Reminder can teach a Pokémon any move that its species is able to learn at an earlier level.
...
They cannot teach moves exclusive to a pre-evolution, even if they had made the present Pokémon forget that move previously.

That's why I like the Move Reminder in G7: No grinding lvls just to teach a 'mon a later lvl move.

No, in fact Drapion does not get Cross Poison until level 57, if you want to get Cross Poison on your Drapion earlier than the E4 then I would recommend not evolving Skorupi until level 49, otherwise you will be only having Poison Fang as your STAB-Poison type move with only 50 base power. Hopefully, this helps :)

Can Drapion learn poison jab before the Elite 4?
its at level 57 so you might have to overlevel a bit if you chose to evolve Skorupi into a Drapion before it reaches level 49
It's easier to get poison jab from the TM, right?
you can't obtain it until you access an area in the post-game
