I just bred and hatched 81 charmander eggs. Only three came out female. That is 3.7%. The database says 12.5%, not even close. Can anyone explain why?

If a coin has a 50% chance of tails, it's still possible (just less likely) to flip it twice and get heads both times.

Put simply, luck. There is a 12.5% chance for a Charmander to be female. This does not mean that exactly 12.5% of them will be, it is simply a metaphorical dice roll.
