If you have a good competitive moveset for Spidops, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some explanation, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

You ever have that moment whrere only three fully evolved web setters exist?

Make use of this when gen 9 PU or ZU exists.
Spidops
Spidops @ Focus Sash
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
Tera Type: Ghost
-Sticky Web
-Spikes
-Circle Throw
-U-Turn

Sticky Web is listed first as this is the only reason you're using Spidops. Spikes is listed as an additional hazard, used with Circle Throw to force damage. U-Turn used for slow pivoting.

The EVs and nature maximize the physical bulk of Spidops. Focus Sash guarentees 1 Sticky Web (not counting taunt or magic bounce)

Tera Ghost lets you block Rapid Spin, though other Pokemon use

Apparently Spidops didn't drop down to PU and is NU, so here is a set for it. Only use this if you want to use Sticky Web and Spidops in NU for some reason.

Gen 9 NU Sticky Web

Spidops @ Focus Sash
Ability: Stakeout
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- First Impression
- Sticky Web
- Spikes
- U-turn

A thing that makes Spidops useable is its access to Stakeout + First Impression. Stakeout makes Spidops' moves do double damage against Pokemon that have switched in on that turn. First Impression allows Spidops to have a priority Bug STAB. Sticky Web is used to slow down grounded Pokemon. Spikes is used to lay down a hazard that chips grounded Pokemon switching in. U-turn is used for a Bug STAB that allows Spidops to pivot and bring in a teammate. Tera Ghost is used to be able to spinblock against the few Rapid Spinners available.

Spidops

Gen 9 PU

If you wanna use Spidops, then use Spidops, Masquerain Is better.

Hazard Lead

Spidops @ Focus Sash
Ability: Stakeout
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Adamant Nature
- Sticky Web
- Memento / Spikes
- Circle Throw
- Leech Life

Spidop's Access to the Rare Sticky web Gives It a Good Niche In PU As a Hazard Lead as It also gets Spikes Unlike Masquerain, Focus Sash should be used so that Spidops can Set up the Hazard before dying while Tera Ghost Prevents Rapid Spin From Quaxwell, But don't ever Terastallize Spidops. Memento should be used to Lower the opposing opponent's Attack stats giving free opportunity to set-up Sweepers like Wyrdeer, Masquerain, Dugtrio, Sawsbucks, Charizard and ETC, Spikes Is there for more Hazards and being able to damage Pokemon that don't run HDB Like Quaxwell, Zangoose, The Eviolite users, Perserrker and ETC, Circle throw should be used to Boost Spidop's Output when used Circle throw Multiple Times and Leech Life Is a Good Stab Move that Recovers HP Back.

i would recommend Toxic Spikes over Leech Life, because Spidops isn't particularly bulky, and you already have Memento.

This set is for Gen 9 PU.

Spidops (M) @ Focus Sash / Mental Herb
Ability: Insomnia
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Silk Trap / Lunge
- Sucker Punch / First Impression
- Toxic Spikes / Spikes / U-Turn
- Sticky Web

Mental Herb is to stop some Taunt users, while Focus Sash is more recommended to ensure that Spidops actually survives a hit from most Pokémon. Insomnia can stop Sleep users, (if there are any) and Tera Ghost stops any Rapid Spinners. Silk Trap can do a little stalling and can slow down any sweepers that use contact moves as their main attacking moves. Lunge can lower the Attack of incoming switch-ins. Sucker Punch and First Impression can be used as a priority move. Toxic Spikes is an extra hazard that you can run, but Spikes can be used too. U-Turn can be used to safely switch into Pokémon, as Spidops is naturally slow. Sticky Web is the main hazard, to lower Speed of a lot of Pokémon.

Spidops @ Leftovers
Ability: Stakeout
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Silk Trap
- X-scissor
- Circle Throw
- Rock Tomb

rock tomb is coverage. circle throw is just good. ghost tera counters rapid spinners. x-scissor is stab. Silk trap Is just there.

If this is a lead, Focus Sash over Leftovers, and Sticky Web over Rock Throw
