What's this mysterious encounter with an NPC in Isle of Armor I found?

A couple years ago, maybe 2021, I was playing the Isle of Armor DLC, completely zoned out, catching Pokémon to fill up the Pokédex. I found this NPC and began talking to her, and just said "yes" to everything because, as I said, I was just zoned out completely, and just wanted to get it over with. But only after I finished up the dialog did I notice she said something really weird and then disappeared after giving me 1 Dynite Ore? Something about playing a game with her. I think she was a Miner♀. If anyone knows what I might be talking about please tell me. I have no idea what I missed out on there. It was so weird. I couldn't find anything on Bulbapedia.

This is in the Crown Tundra, though. The Isle of Armor NPC doesn't sell Dynite Ore, from what I know.

Based on your description, the NPC you encountered was the Digging Ma.

Digging Ma is the mother of the Digging Duo. She has the appearance of a female Worker. When the player encounters her, she'll offer one piece of Armorite Ore. In exchange for that piece, she can dig up more Armorite Ore until the player asks her to stop or until her shovel randomly breaks. If the player asks her to stop, she will reward all the Armorite Ores dug up, including the initial one, but if her shovel breaks, the player will not receive any of the Armorite Ore from that session.; however, occasionally, after her shovel breaks, she may be able to dig up more Armorite Ore instead. After this exchange, Digging Ma will relocate to another area on the island.

You said she gave you Dynite Ore, but I recognized her from your description since I played through the IOA. You must've obtained the Armorite Ore and she relocated to a different area of the island.
