How to evolve Riolu? (S&V)?

My first shiny in Pokémon, violet was a Riolo. I am currently trying to evolve it, and it even has the best friends ribbon, yet it still won’t evolve. Does anybody know why this may be? I really want I shiny lucario.

For Riolu to evolve, you need to level it up with high Friendship during the daytime. Based on your description, you're probably either 1. not levelling it up or 2. trying to level it up at night.
