Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

  • Volt Switch / Thunderbolt
  • Trick
  • Hidden Power [Ice] / Hidden Power [Fire]
  • Hydro Pump

This set makes a great lead.
Volt Switch is there for STAB scouting, if this set is used as a lead, Volt Switch is probably the better option, if not Thunderbolt is also a good option here. Trick to get away your choice scarf, can lock your opponent into a stat powering up move or such.
HP Ice gives some nice coverage against dragons while HP Fire gives some nice coverage against scizor and ferrothorn.
Both counters Rotom Wash's only weakness that being grass.
Hydro Pump makes for dual STAB.

Physically Defensive Chesto-Rest Rotom (Wash)

Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry / Lum Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature

  • Hydro Pump
  • Volt Switch / Thunderbolt
  • Will-O-Wisp
  • Rest

This set excels at checking dangerous physically inclined threats like Gale Wings Talonflame by coming in on a resisted hit and either Volt Switch while they get forced out or Will o Wisp to burn. Rest is to heal off status and fully restore health. Hydro Pump to smack Talonflame, Tyranitar and the like. Against Blaziken, this is an excellent way to bait Blaziken into using High Jump Kick, before switching into a ghost to make it lose half its health.

EVs may seem weird but let me explain. Max HP is obvious to be as tanky as possible, while I put 44EVs into Speed to outspeed Jolly Azumarill to get a Will 'O' Wisp/Volt Switch off before it hits me with Play Rough. Remaining EVs are thrown into Defense to be a fearsome check to many physical attackers.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Spe
Bold Nature

  • Hydro Pump
  • Volt Switch
  • Will-O-Wisp
  • Snatch

Rotom-Wash is one of the most used and effective pivots in today's metagame. It walls a plethora of threats, especially the new bird on the block, Talonflame. What makes this set stand out is Snatch, something not commonly seen at all. When Rotom is out, many players try to take advantage of Rotom's inability to deal loads of damage and use it as setup fodder. Calm Mind boosters especially - Slowbro, Latias, Clefable, and more. Rotom can steal all those boosts that they try to get, as well as steal any recovery they may want. It's quite amusing when Rotom-Wash manages to 1v1 Clefable, a scenario that many people don't get to see.

EVs are standard, IVs make sure Foul Play and Confusion do minimal damage. 30 Spe is to make sure you "outslow" other Rotom-Wash.

As this Rotom does not have recovery outside of Leftovers, avoid switching it in recklessly to take attacks.

Very interesting set. I'll keep it in mind if I raise another Rotom :)
I can't see how snatch would be more useful pain split. And it's barely used as set up fodder anyway because pain split + volt switch does work.

Well then, I think I'll post one here too.

Rotom

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 212 HP / 96 SpA / 200 SpD
Calm Nature
- Confuse Ray
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp

Saywut?? Confuse Ray for max trolliness, force a switch and burn the incoming poke. Hydro Pump, go big or go home. Volt Switch, Switch out. Specially defensive with decent HP and some hard hitting special attacks.

Rotom-W@ zap plate
ability: levitate
EV: 4Def,252 spd and spatk.
timid nature

  • Shadow Ball
  • Volt Switch
  • Thunderbolt

Shadow ball is for types that resist electric/water type attacks, thunderbolt & volt switch STAB, Thunderbolt is for more power, while Volt Switch is when you encounter Grass types, and hydro pump is for STAB

Mitt Rotomney (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split is another form of recovery that Rotom gets other than rest. I prefer it over rest. Why? You don't fall asleep, you can use Leftovers instead of a Chesto Berry, and you also take health from the opponent. Will-O-Wisp is almost essential on a Rotom, because it cripples physical attackers and it allows it to stall more. Hydro Pump + Volt Switch are a staple to Rotom, Hydro Pump being very powerful STAB, and Volt Switch to flee, while still doing damage.

National Dex UU

Rotom-Wash @ Waterium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Nasty Plot

I know it's similar to the other Nasty Plot set on here, but I wanted to post a more faster
one. Nasty Plot boosts your Special Attack. Hydro Lump is STAB and can be used with the Waterium Z for a strong water move without having to worry about the accuracy. Thunderbolt is also STAB. HP Ice deals with grass types and forms the BoltBeam combo.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers

Modest Nature

  • Volt Switch
  • Hydro Pump
  • Will-O-Wisp
  • Rest

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Confuse Ray
- Thunder Wave

Very annoying set. Parafusion leaves the Pokemon a 62.5% chance to hurt itself/be paralyzed. Once you've crippled them with status, use Hydro Pump or Volt Switch if you can't do anything.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpD / 240 SpA / 12 HP
Calm Nature

  • Volt Switch
  • Will-O-Wisp
  • Confuse Ray
  • Hydro Pump

Explanation: How about a Tank Rotom Set? Volt Switch is STAB and it's used for Scouting. Will-O-Wisp burns your foe and lowers their Attack. Confuse Ray confuses your foe. Hydro Pump is Powerful STAB.

Rotom-Wash @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Reflect
- Volt Switch
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

This thing protects the team from physical threats and volt switchs out strategically and can take hits while still dealing damage and can sustain itself. Good on a lot of teams.

The ultimate bulk sweeper:

Rotom-Wash @ Electrium-Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Bold / Timid Nature

  • Charge
  • Will-O-Wisp
  • Confuse Ray / Hydro Pump
  • Discharge / Thunderbolt

This is my favorite set on any Pokemon. Z-Charge is just broken on a bulky Pokemon with one weakness. Wil-o-Wisp stops any physical sweeps happening. Fire types can be annoying with this but that's why you have Hydro pump. You can always have confuse ray just to pressure your opponent and possibly shut down any attacks. Discharge or Thunderbolt is your best damaging move here. STAB Electric move alongside Charge gonna do some damage.

Team synergy (for battle spot singles/ battle tree)
could be something like:

Mega Venusaur (Tank)
Marowak-alolan (Physical bulk/ sweep)

Hope this set works! :)

Gen 8 concept: Nasty Plot

Bleach (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Shadow Ball

Nasty Plot is a TR/TM/idk because I don't have the game now, and the sheer surprise factor this has is honestly staggering. Coupled with excellent defensive typing and the ability to throw a monkey wrench into a team's plans, Rotom-Wash quickly becomes a dangerous offensive tank. Your opponent is expecting you to be a chip-damage defensive pivot, but they suddenly panic when you put up a Nasty Plot. With a little prediction magic, you can suddenly put yourself at an advantage with predicting the correct switch or even setting up another Nasty Plot to clean, hence this Pokemon's nickname choice. .3. I have dual STAB as well as Shadow Ball for a coverage move.

  • Pain Split / Defog

Why does this clearly defensive Rotom have a life orb, and offensive evs?
