Victreebel (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 160 Atk / 96 SpA / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Leaf Blade
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Sludge Bomb

This is my Sunny Day Victreebel.

He has Sucker Punch to hit Psychic types who are super affective against him, and priority is always great.

He has beastly STAB with Leaf Blade.

A strong Hidden Power [Fire] gets a bit of a boost in the sun and takes down Steel types.

Sludge Bomb is another STAB move, for when an opponent has unequal defense stats.

Gen 7 PU
Victreebel
Victreebel @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Solar Beam
- Weather Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Strength Sap

Victreebel should be used on Sunny Day Teams. Solarbeam is Victreebel's strongest STAB move in this set and does not need to charge in Sunny Day. Weather Ball during Sunny Day allows Victreebel to hit Pokemon who resist its STAB moves such as Ferroseed and Alolan Sandslash. Sludge Bomb is a nice Poison STAB due to its poison chance that can cripple Pokemon switching in. Strength Sap lets Victreebel heal itself while lowering the attack stat of opposing Pokemon, allowing it to cripple physical wallbreakers in the tier such as Stoutland, Aggron, Kangaskhan, and Golurk.

Victreebel isn't in Gen 8.
This is for Showdown.
Exactly. You can't use Victreebel in Gen 8 AG.
What about National Dex?
You can in National Dex, yeah.

Gen 7 PU

Victreebel @ Grassium Z
Ability: Chlorophyll / Gluttony
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Strength Sap

Leaf Storm is strong STAB and can be powered up into Bloom Doom, which lets Victreebel bypass the Special Attack drop and KO would-be walls. Sludge Bomb is STAB with a good poison chance. Hidden Power [Fire] is coverage for Ice, Steel, and Grass types, most notably Alolan Sandslash and Ferroseed. Strength Sap is recovery and weakens physical attackers.

Gen V

Victreebel (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Leaf Blade
- Swords Dance
- Return

Sun sweeper. Although physical is a nice touch. Swords Dance makes you do a good amount of damage along with your Life Orb. Sucker Punch is a nice touch, priority is always good to have. Power Whip can't be used along with Sucker Punch, but Leaf Blade is good enough, it replaces it with no problem. Return does nice neutral damage. I really just ran out of moves. Return isn't bad though. Your EVs are geared towards sweeping, and a tiny bit of HP for priority.

Double/Triple Battle

Victreebel (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Gastro Acid / Worry Seed
- Reflect
- Razor Leaf / Leaf Blade
- Frustration

Gastro Acid and Worry Seed are used to help out Pokemon such as Archeops, Regigigas, and Slaking. However, Worry Seed doesn't work with Truant, so use Gastro Acid if you are partnering with Slaking. Otherwise use Worry Seed. Reflect offers team support. Razor Leaf is STAB that hits multiple Pokemon. It has low base power however, so Leaf Blade can be used instead. Frustration is neutral coverage.

Victreebel (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Growth
- Solar Beam
- Weather Ball
- Hidden Power [Dragon]

WITH SUN SUPPORT

Solar Beam is STAB, with Growth for boosting along with Chlorophyll. Weather Ball (Fire) and Hidden Power [Dragon] get unresisted coverage.

Hidden Power Dragon is insanely weak.
And Heatran resists Dragon, and Grass and is immune to Fire thanks to his ability. Also where are your last 6 EVs?

For Double or Triple Battle: Speedy/ Powerful Victreebel

Victreebel @ Life Orb / Wise Glasses / Focus Sash
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 56 HP / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
- Solar Beam
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder
- Protect

Pair with a Pokémon that has the Drought ability such as Ninetales, Charizard (holding Charizardite Y), or Groudon. To boost Speed, pair with a Pokémon that can use Tailwind as priority such as Talonflame (my favorite) or Whimiscott. Also, pair with a Pokémon that has the ability Intimidate to cut the damage of Physical Flying type moves. I use Krookodile and Luxray.

Ability: Chlorophyll / Gluttony
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Power Whip
- Poison Jab

- Swords Dance

Power Whip is powerful STAB. Poison Jab is STAB with a good chance to poison. Knock Off covers Psychic types and removes items, Sucker Punch covers Psychic types and is priority. Swords Dance is set-up.

Gen 8 BDSP NU

Victreebel @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Knock Off
- Strength Sap

A mixed attacker set for BDSP NU. Leaf Storm is Victreebel's strongest grass move. Sludge Bomb is used for poison STAB and the poison chance can cripple some Pokemon in the tier. Knock Off is used to remove items from opposing Pokemon rather than doing damage, which is why this set has Modest / Timid over Mild / Hasty as natures. Strength Sap is used for recovery that not only heals off your Life Orb recoil, but also lowers the attack of opposing Pokemon, which is useful to cripple physical wallbreakers.
