Hello, this is GreenBoy here. It is agreeable that darkrai is very strong with his putting opponent to sleep power. So here is a move set that I came up with that would do very good with darkrai.
The first move darkrai should have is Dark void. This move puts the opponent to sleep. The opponent will also lose health if they sleep because of darkrai’s ability. This move has a descent amount of accuracy so there is a good chance that this move will hit. If it does not hit the first turn, it has a good chance to hit the second turn too. Plus, you have the advantage now that your opponent is asleep.
The second move you should have is nightmare. Nightmare takes away 25 percent of the opponent’s health every time you use it. So this is a very good move to have. But, this move only hits when your opponent is asleep. That is not a problem because your dark void move can put the opponent to sleep.
The third move you should have is disable. If you have this move, you can make the opponent not use a move for a few turns. So if your opponent has a move that could make them not sleep or do a move while they are sleeping (like the move sleep talk) you can disable it. You can also disable a strong or super effective move your opponent has.
The final move you should have is psychic or shadow ball or brick break or a move that raises darkai’s stats. Psychic or shadow ball is your secondary attack if you can’t damage the opponent by nightmare. Brick break is the same thing (secondary attack) but this can break through protect, but at the same time, this move does not do too much damage. If you have a move that raises darkrai’s stats, then you could raise your attack while your opponent is sleeping so you won’t take any damage.
You should also have leftovers so darkrai could heal.
