Can you turn the five-character limit into a two-character limit perhaps?

A two character limit will allow smiley faces and "hi". Irony here is that I was the one asking for a character limit in the first place.

I agree it is silly that I can't just write Hi without having to put 3 periods after it

Yeah I thought about maybe doing that so I will likely change it soon...
