What is the point of " Add ____(insert username here)___ to favorites" ?

Does it give extra points to the user, or is it for some other purpose?

No, it does not give you points, or else we'd go around registaring each other as favorites for points. The main reason is so we have a quick link to that page; or simply the feeling of having that user as a favourite.

One more question thou : Does the user we have added to favorites know that we have added him/her to the favorites?
