It's so that you can see who is currently logged in on the DB.
Also, if this is a horrible suggestion I'll take it down.

I think moderaters can already see when a user was last logged.
^ They can.

It's for us, so like if I went to see if MK is online I could go to his profile and see the online / offline button. There should be an opt out for this, but it could be useful. Mods would have more detail like when when they log in (a they currently do) but this is for others o3o
I'm kinda neutral to this. Not a bad suggestion, I suppose, but I don't see the use for it.
Not everything needs a specific use, it's more general quality of enjoyment. It's a little thing that can make our lives easier. Not needed, I'm not opposed either way, but I'd quite like this myself, it'd save me some time at least.
Like I said, not a bad suggestion and I have no objections. Just a personal opinion.
It's just to let you know who is currently online, or how many users are online.
I like this suggestion.
And if someone is offline for a while, just place the status of 'Inactive'.
I cannot tell you how many times this has been suggested before.

one time apparently
It's a good suggestion but unfortunately it's never going to happen, it's been asked a couple of times before and it's never been implemented. Not sure if PM has denied it himself personally but I can't see this happening which is a shame tbh :/

This is on the to-do list.

And the to-do list is huge.

And about one thing is done a month.
