I'm not sure I'm using the correct terminology, so what I mean when I say 'profile' is the thing that comes up when you click on someone's name. And what I mean when I say 'the search bar for each section' is that search bar towards the top of each page next to where it says 'Hello (username), My Updates, Logout'

I find it annoying when I need to go onto someone's profile for whatever reason, but they haven't posted anything recently, so there is no link that I can click on to go to their profile. So basically what I'm saying is it would be very helpful if when you type someone's username into the search bar, it came up with a link to their profile as one of the results.

If you don't understand what I mean, just ask in the comments.

There is another way, under the conditions you posted in your question

>So basically what I'm saying is it would be very helpful if when you type someone's username into the search bar

If you already know their full username there is something very simple you can do
Simply look at the URL, and edit it as you please. For example;
http://pokemondb.net/pokebase/user/Sempiternus
That's the URL to my own profile. Lets say, I wanted to visit geodudedude's profile for some random reason, but I couldn't find a link for it...
I would quite simply just edit the bit which says "Sempiternus" to "geodudedude"
http://pokemondb.net/pokebase/user/geodudedude
Whala!
This doesn't use a composition of numbers/letters to represent usernames unlike other sites I've been on. So, yeah just replace the bit which says your name with their name - problem solved.

OK, so there don't need to be profiles in the search results. Thanks.

There was a similar suggestion here, but there is no need for this. Just go on to anyone's profile, and in the URL replace their username with the user you're searching for, and it will take you straight to their profile.

Hope I helped.
