Lots of threads are 2 years old however they are not closed.Is it still ok to answer them or not.here and here are some examples

They probably should be closed.
The first one should be closed, I think the second one should remain open though imo.

In general, no. Only post on old questions if the current answers are incorrect or you can expand on the answers with much more detail.

Even though your particular examples are from Meta, this still applies for the most part. Stuff like the CAP thread are basically dead so there is no point in bumping them. The Pokemon intros is something I will be adding to the site when I get a chance, but there is a big backlog so don't bother adding more right now.

We were always told posting on threads is fine no matter what the age .-.. Thread questions aren't the same as normal questions. He means stuff like the Choice thread, move set threads and the troll thread. Those examples were just awful.
I'm sure there has never been any time barrier for the moveset questions...
