Does deselecting a BA make one lose points?

Just curious, and I didn't find it elsewhere. Sorry if already asked :/
Any way, you get +2 for BA right?

So if you deselect it, do you lose your points?

Also, on that note, what if the BA gets hidden?

If you select BA to someone they get +20 points and you get +2 points.
If you deselect BA, the person who got un-BAed will get -20 points and you will get -2points.
