I'm not sure if this is really relevant to anybody except me, but here's my story: http://pokemondb.net/pokebase/251637/why-are-there-so-many-sea-routes-in-hoenn
In case you were too lazy to click on the link, there was a comment that I liked better than the answer. If such a button existed, I would have been able to have an expert edit the comment and then whoever posted the comment would have gotten 20 points.

It'd be initially difficult due to answers using markdown and comments just being text. You can convert markdown into text because it's just text code but you can't create text code unless you edited it manually.
Oh. Should I hide this?
Nah, just let Fresh answer it and people know not to ask this again.
I won't answer, I'm no technical expert and I could be completely wrong, so I'll wait for someone to back me up and get them to answer
What's the problem with that? It will just be an answer with no markdown. That's okay.
I just think this is an unnecessary suggestion, since comments rarely outdo the answer. And if the commenter didn't want to answer, that's their choice. Though I can't imagine it would be too difficult to implement (that said, what do I know about coding).
