If every new user was brought to public attention for around 15 seconds, then the other users on the site can have a chance to prevent stuff like this from happening. It works on Smogon, so I don't see why it wouldn't work here. Also we can more efficiently spam welcome messages when we get bored.

Technically, you can already access a list of new users. It’s not perfect, and you’ll have to catch people’s accounts before they go above 20 points.

But if you go to the 82nd page of the users list, the first accounts you see with 20 points are (generally) the newest ones on the site. The page this appears on is slowly increasing as more people go above 20, but you’ll always find what you want if you click ahead a bit.

There’s an easy way to get a real list if Pokemaster’s comfortable with it, though. There’s already a mod page that lists new users, which you can see on our list of privileges. It would be as simple as changing the permissions to let everyone see it.
