I see a bunch of people with these TM symbols next to their names. What do they mean?

Traditionally TM represents claiming something as a trademark. In a business scenario, often represents only a claim, with no legal protection.

When used by users on a Pokemon site, it means absolutely nothing. Kids trying to look cool.
