Suggestion: make 5 flags close a question, rather than hiding it

Question

Yeah, pretty much the title. The closing feature was added so that the asker could see why their question was closed, and if 5 people all see and flag it before the asker notices or a mod can come and close it, then to the asker, their post just inexplicably disappeared and they don’t know why.

This does bring up a few issues, like what should be displayed as the reason for closing, but I still think this is a discussion worth having.

I have in mind what issues you mean, although, this could be a great feature if moderators and/or editors are active enough to deal with users that really break the rules (like strong language, and other of these doesn't come in mind that fast). But, it's pretty much a rare occasion.
The better thing is to make people flag closed question a 6th time, for strong language and these, so that moderators and/or editors don't need to look at these all the day.

If something hits 5 flags before one of us can see it it's honestly not that important that it's hidden rather than closed. It's not a big deal at all.

Though if this was simple to implement, I actually agree it’s a good idea. It isn’t urgent, but it would be a really good use of the feature.
