If two accounts were made on different devices, would the mods find out?

Part 2 of my question: Not that I would make another account. I've seen what happens when people make alts. It scares me ._. anyways back to the question. Say I made KirbyCuteKing! on my computer and I make an account called Bandanna Waddle Dee (I reeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaalllllllllllyyyyyyyyyy want him in smash ultimate) on my phone. Would the mods still know?

If you made the account connecting to the same network your computer does, then it's very likely the accounts would record the same IP. In that case, yes it would be quite easy to find.

If you made it connecting to a different network, then things will be less immediately apparent. However, common sense and years of experience give us a pretty good idea of how to spot funny business.

Don't be scared of anything we're doing. The main reason those guys get banned is because they make new accounts even though we warn them not to (i.e. they don't care enough), and then offer no communication on the issue. If you'll at least talk to us, we'll more cooperative.
