Promotions and nominations are usually posted on an as required basis. This means that if we feel like we don't have enough auth to effectively moderate or if any auth have become recently inactive, we politely ask PM if he can promote more.
The community is of course important to this, if you guys feel like the moderation isn't keeping up, then do please speak up. We want to do our best as a moderation team and keep everything running smoothly and if you feel like this isn't happening we can consider asking PM to promote new team members.
But from my (just mine, not speaking for other auth) perspective, we're doing ok at the moment. The mods and editors are active and cover several timezones, stuff doesn't usually pile up and issues are dealt with within a few hours at most. Me and HT are active on chat room.
Also the last promotions thread was just in March. The one before that was in 2018 I believe, which is a 2 year difference. I'm not opposed to having more regular promotions but there isn't currently any presedent for it.
That being said if you feel like anyone is specifically deserving of promotion, you can suggest it to myself, Fizz or HT (or Mew I guess but we're more likely to respond) and we'll keep that user in mind when promotiosn are required.

Oh yeah x2, mods can promote Experts, which we can do independantly from PM on an as needed basis, so if you have any Expert suggestions make sure to send us those too.
