Suggestion: Allow the usage of images in profiles.

Question

This might help express something a bit better than text.

It would also make the profile seem a bit more elegant.

It's a lot more convenient than "emoticon art"

It would be a good way to share artwork and creativity between members of the community

Having the option to add pictures to profiles can make it a little bit more personal and fun to the user

"But what if someone uses an NSFW image"
That happening is just as absurd as someone abusing the uncensored words in here to make inappropriate sentences.

"Your gravatar exists"
Gravatars are like pfps, it's like discord removing the ability to post images because you already have a pfp.

"It might slow the server down"
Then there should be a limit to how many images you can use or how big the file size of each image is.

TY: Also, Mods (and or editors since according to PX, it would be too much work on mods) should be able to force-edit profile if needed, or maybe also an "approve" feature.

I'd argue this is a.) A lot of hassle to implement b.) Would be a big hassle for mods to moderate and c.) Would make profiles look really bad.

I agree with PX. Profiles could end up looking alright but I think it'd mess up the fact that they're supposed to be simple. People would definitely end up using very large images (coughthequestionsfrommonthsagothatyoueditedearliersotheyincludeoversizedimagescough) and it'd look terrible and be hell to navigate.

Personally not on board with this:
* User pages operate enough like pseudo-social media profiles without images on them. The feature goes beyond the purpose of the software/website. (As mentioned above, I'd very much not look forward to modding it too.)
* If there's a picture that really needs to be on your profile, you can link it. The only real benefit of the feature is that you can look at it and say 'Woah that's neat' (and that it drives conversation between people if that's what you're here for, but you have to remember this is a Q&A first, not just 'Woah look what Fizz put in his bio').

Well if you can use images (not links to images) in questions and answers you should (logically) be able to use them on your profile, in my opinion atleast.
