There are quite a few tags that are essentially the same but both are commonly used, for example omega-ruby-alpha-sapphire and oras. I see no reason for these tags both to exist, and we have no way to search using multiple tags, so questions relating to either tag are only going to show up in the one they're tagged with. Other than just editing them all so they use one or the other, is there a way that each question tagged with, for example, oras can be changed to omega-ruby-alpha-sapphire, and if somebody tries to ask a question with the tag oras, it is automatically changed to the other? I'm not sure if this would be feasible to do, or even worth it for how small of a thing is it, depending in how difficult it would be to do so, however, I believe that it could improve the tag system (which desperately needs to be given other functionality) by a little bit. This would probably be something only PM could do, too, which could be an issue because we'd have to ask him to do it every time we have two tags with the same function. Despite this, with nearly 700 questions tagged omega-ruby-alpha-sapphire and 1,700 tagged oras, I think that this would be something worth doing, just to make searching by tags a little bit easier.
Actually, as I'm typing this, I've found out the tag bw2, when typed into a URL for the tags, changes to black-white-2 (https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/tag/bw2 try it yourself). The tag ultra-sun-ultra-moon is also changed to `ultra-sun-moon' when typed into the URL. So I guess this should more be a request for a way for us to ask PM to do this with more tags. PM, can we make a list of tags that we'd like you to combine with other tags?
