Hi all! Gen 9 officially begins today with the release of Scarlet and Violet. Whether or not you've been following the leaks, I hope you look forward to playing the games :)
Per tradition, I released the in-game team question for the games this morning. I also refreshed the Rate My Pokemon thread. And a special shoutout must go to Pokemaster who has probably spent the last week parsing data for the games.
I want PokeBase to have really good coverage of Gen 9. I have a couple ideas for projects that will help us achieve that -- help out wherever you can.
Making threads for very common, very searchable questions. For example, "How do you change your Pokemon's Tera Type?" If you have a question like this while playing the games, put it up on the main section, even if you know the answer. In fact, if you know the answer, you can post the question then answer it yourself, like writing a guide. I did this for the question above.
Updating old questions to cover Gen 9. There are quite a few questions here that ask things like "What are all the ___?" which become outdated when a new generation releases. We should update them. We have a place to report outdated questions, but we'd likely clog that thread with repetitive answers if we all went looking for posts that need Gen 9 updates. So instead, I've posted an answer to this thread where you can dump links for questions that need updates. People with editing powers can fix them, or you can post an answer yourself and get 20 points when we update the BA.
