The title is a bit of a lie — tables technically do work on PokeBase if you use HTML tags.

But this doesn't look deliberate to me, since the formatting is just inherited from main stylesheet, the post preview doesn't format the table properly, and Markdown table syntax isn't enabled here. My suggestion is that we deliberately enable tables on PokeBase (both with HTML and Markdown).
You could achieve the effects by using code blocks, like this:
bad substitute
for real
tables goodbye
But that doesn't look good (of course, because it was made for a different purpose). If we had properly integrated tables on PokeBase, then they'd look good and wouldn't be buggy. A Q&A community definitely has a use for this feature — I know I've wanted to put tables in my posts before. Surely it's possible?
BTW Pokemaster, you can do this on PokeBase, which you might want to address at the very least. (Sorry to everyone else — this is something I don't want you to see lol.)
