It's winter. Snow and ice coats the ground as the temperatures settle below freezing unless you are named Fizz Moderator (<- his actual last name). A new Pokemon gen has dropped, and the OU metagame is finally starting to stabilize like 4 months later. Yep, it's DB tournament time.
My name is Felix, and I'll be the host of the inaugural Gen 9 DB tournament. If you haven't heard of me before, that's probably a good thing. In any case, for those of you new to the site who may have joined after the release of Scarlet and Violet, the Pokemon DB hosts seasonal Pokemon tournaments hosted on Pokemon Showdown, open to any member to participate and earn eternal, everlasting glory in. The format of each tournament is always different, as in addition to holding standard format tours such as OU and Ubers, we also pull ideas from our tournament suggestion thread and vote on the most upvoted suggestions in order to keep each tournament fresh and exciting. And coincidentally, that's what we're doing right now! How about that?
Instructions (read before voting):
- Please only vote if you consider participating in the tournament (though voting does not commit you to participating).
- To prevent repeat votes, you must give a link to your PokeBase account.
- To make sure the votes are authentic, please leave a comment on this thread if you voted.
- This isn't the sign up thread -- you'll need to sign up to the tournament separately when the official thread goes up.
