I wrote this guide to help you post links. If you choose one of the options and follow it properly, the link will work. Option 1 is the best.
Note that hyperlinking doesn't work in comments or wall posts, and all links are disabled on account pages (e.g. "About me"). This is deliberate, so there isn't anything you can do about it.
