Why isn't the change to EV berries after gen IV mentioned in mechanics?

Was going through the mechanics section on pokemondb and noticed a discrepancy between the way berries work. It states on the website that 1 ev berries will reduce you to 100 EVs, yet this was changed to not be the case after gen IV. Why did they make this change?

Made another post for clarity. Specifically about the information on the website not mentioning the change after gen 4.

PokemonDB's page on EVs has not been updated in over a decade. The only part of the page with information pertaining to any game later than HG/SS is the section on wings. The rest should be treated like a Gen 4 guide.

The guy running the site knows about this, and it is probably on his list of things to eventually fix.
