Hello my fellow Pokémon Knowledgebasers. It has recently come to my attention (about two months ago) that Ditto does not have their own moveset thread. While I could’ve spoken out against this injustice to the staff of this site, I do not currently have any sources of contact with them and, I am afraid that, as the only individual who has seemed to have noticed this, I would be quickly silenced by the all-powerful Fizztopher before this issue is known to the general public. Additionally, I feel posting about it on a meta question like this would garner enough attention for us to take action against this. This issue really shows that, although I love this site (platonically), it is far from perfect. Though, rather than continue to slander it, we should instead fix our past mistakes and finally give Ditto the Moveset Question it finally needs. For those who oppose this change for whatever reason, before anyone asks “What’s wrong with you?” and is instantly ridiculed, I think it’s a worthwhile inclusion to provide a few reasons why this should be done to silence any feasible counter-arguments that could be made.
1: Ditto movesets will provide far more variety than the current moveset questions we have
There are already Pokémon with moveset questions with far less variety than that of what Ditto may provide. I don’t mean to offend the Pokémon or fans of them, but Wobbuffet and Unown both have their own moveset threads that share nigh identical movesets across their answers. Even LC Pokémon like Weedle, Caterpie, and even Cosmog (you’re welcome!) have their own moveset questions too! I think it's ridiculous that they get their own moveset question, yet we make it an exception for Ditto and only Ditto to not get their own.
2: Our Ditto movesets with garner a lot of attention
As of March 5th, 2025, Ditto is the most used tag pertaining to a Pokémon species on the Pokémondb.net, with a total of 438 questions on the main section tagged Ditto. Second place is Eevee, which isn’t even close to matching Ditto, with only 345 total uses. This clearly means Ditto garners a lot of traction on this site, so it only makes sense if we make our own moveset question for it.
π: Posting Ditto movesets will help our users be better at Competitive Pokémon
Simply put, our users won’t have to be any good at Pokémon to use our Ditto movesets. As Ditto can become any Pokémon, folks can simply make a team of Ditto, Ditto, Ditto, Ditto, Swadloon, Ditto, and Ditto just to be safe. With a team like that, they’re automatically an even match for their opponents! There are no drawbacks to this strategy at all, just trust me bro.
4: Ditto is noticeably sad and I feel this would cheer them up
This might not be evident to the average Ditto fan, but it’s very obvious to us Ditto dudes and dudettes that Ditto just isn’t as happy as they once were. Just compare their sprite from the Red/Blue games to Scarlet/Violet

Look at that specimen. Jovial, smiling, bouncing about. Though years later, just look at my poor boy…

Smile? Gone. Joy? Eviscerated. The one thing Ditto can’t transform into is the concept of happiness, it seems. I feel giving Ditto their own moveset question would cheer Ditto up a bit for all they’ve done for us, which I feel DItto really needs.
132: This was all just a Dittostraction, dit is not over yet
You fools, you foolish fools, you’ve all been fooled by Ditto. While you have all read about Ditto, Ditto has made a move to replace all. Experts? Ditto. Moderators? Ditto. Pokemaster? Ditto too. All will be Ditto, and only then, all will be dittosciplined.
Ditto will conquer all, and only then will you know true Ditto.
Anywho, that’s everything I’ve got to say about Ditto! As this is all irrefutable reasoning as to give Ditto their own msq, I’ll expect to see one in 1-2 business days from now. Until then, you’re all on thin ice.
Yours Truly,
Ditto
