Why does the Question Guidelines still refer to the RMT section as "Battle Subway"?

Looking at old questions, I think that the RMT section used to be called "Battle Subway", but if this is the case, why hasn't the Question Guidelines been updated to the RMT section's current name? This seems like a problem which could be solved pretty quickly by just renaming a link.

it's probably a holdover from when the site was at its peak, which iirc was in the black/white era, in reference to the unova battle facility. i think there are probably other places that still refer to it as battle subway, i remember the rules used to, but that changed when fizz rewrote them and pm implemented them.

Battle Subway is the old name for RMT. The section got the name because it was created in 2011, when Gen 5 (Black/White) was new.

This seems like a problem which could be solved pretty quickly

Yeah the link was always "rmt", Battle Subway was just a pet name. Can guarantee you the question guidelines haven't been touched in a very long time.
