Yes, questions about Showdown are allowed. The rules say:
#0.8. Official Pokémon games and media only. [...] Pokémon Showdown! and custom servers (e.g. Wiimmfi) are exceptions.
Like with any other game, teams belong on RMT and everything else belongs on the main section.
