Pokémon Rate My Team

Finally a team i very satisfied with. I wanted to try a volt turn sand team for a change and it has turned out great. currently i have gone 35-4 which is pretty good by my standards. The team has brilliant synergy being able to deal with almost any Ou threat though Skarmory can be a real pain. I built the team around a Defensive core and offencive core. I know the team could be improved though i beleive its pretty solid. It has been very enjoyable to use and my only current problem is the Tyranitar set. Choice Band is baws on Tyranitar but a mixed set would be nice though i don't know how to go about it. I origionally had Hippowdon in the weather setter spot but my Ice weakness was hard to deal with and i can not play on showdown so Genesect is still a threat on Po. Either way on to the team suggestions are welcome.

Landorus-T (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Stealth Rock

Landorus-T is a great defensive pivot paired with Rotom-W. It may not have the brilliant defensive stats but they certainly are not bad with 381/302/196. What makes him great is the ability to switch in on common threats such as Terrakion and not only just completly wall it with its nice typing but it has intimidate to add to the opponents desperation. Intimidate effectivly brings Landorus-Ts def up to around 450 against pokemon it switchs in on. Hidden Power Ice means Gliscor is made short work off in an attempt to wall me. Earthquake is my main stab and isn't bad coming off 325 Atk yet still will not OHKO Jirachi without rocks. Thankfully i just so happen to carry rocks and nothing but a scarf varient of Jirachi can really hinder me. U-Turn is scouting and is great on the switch in. I have max Def because speed and atk are not really needed as much as Def.

Rotom (Rotom-W) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 244 HP / 32 SAtk / 232 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split

Part two of my defensive pivot taking the special hits as well as serving as my rain team counter. Hydro Pump is my powerfull stab while Volt Switch is pure scouting. Pain Split works well on the switch ins while Thunder Wave is for crippling the opponents. Thunder Wave is used over WiloWisp for the fact the main pokemon it shuts down are delt with by Landorus with ease and the speed drop can be usefull as my team hardly thrives in speed.

Breloom (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Mach Punch
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Seed

Origionally I used a Toxic Orb set for the effective leftovers recovery after the sand damage and the bulk it had to offer. But the speed and offence lacked and I would find myself using it as death fodder 50% of the time. So I went for the frail Technician set I had been using since I started playing online. After a Swords Dance nothing is incredibly safe as even something resisting Mach Punch still takes an awful lot of damage despite the fact it has 40 base power. Bullet Seed is its second attack and stab hitting harder than Seed Bomb after 3 hits. Apart from that the set is quite self explanatory and does have its flaws like being walled by Protect Gliscor or bulky dragon types and flying types.

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 180 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Stone Edge

I like the Choice Band set I mean it almost OHKOs opposing Tyranitars with Stone Edge but I don't like how it preforms on the team as it acts like Abomasnow lets say. Its mainly there for the weather and though it may synergise with the team well unfortunately I find it little use. Either way this set hits like a truck. A Stone Edge will ko Jellicent after rocks, I like that. Pursuit is great for trapping Pokemon like Starmie that becomes hopeless when I come in. Crunch is powerful stab good at nailing the psychic types and Gengar.

Celebi @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- U-turn
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Leaf Storm

The main scouter of the team. Though I don't like Celebis role in the Metagame it fits into my team well as I needed a solid scarfer with grass coverage and fire coverage. First Infernape came to mind but after some tests I switched to Celebi who can act a bit of a wall breaker with Leaf Storm. After all I had Terrakion hitting much harder with Close Combat than Infernape ever could. Hp Fire nails Steel types though the crappy fire iv combinations do mean I loose out on one speed points so opposing base 100 scarfers can cause problems, though I wouldn't stay in for them anyway.

Terrakion @ Choice Band
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor

Nothing can safely take a CC from this guy, that's what makes him so dangerous. Terrakion has the great ability of scaring Pokémon out. They may resist my attacks but nothing can safely take 2 Stone Edges or 2 Close Combats. I find Terrakion to be the ultimate wall breaker and that's why it is on the team. Obviously I lack speed that a scarf variant would provide but personally I prefer power and the only thing threating a scarf set is an opposing Terrakion easily dealt with by Landorus-T. X-Scissor is coverage and Quick Attack, weak as it is, is nice priority and will finish off any frail Pokémon like Alakazam.

Finally done like 20 days overdue lol completely forgot but either way now its finished I look forward to suggestions 1/1/13

Watch out for Mienshao. Especially Scarf variants with HP Ice.
Yeah mixed non scarf variants are more of a problem as a scarf is to predictable and easy to work around.
My biggest worrie for the team tbh is agility Lucario that guy just hits hard
UpVote just for the name alone... RHCP <3
