After making a mono-steel team that won me a lot of battles I got an Idea.
"Why don't I make a team that is completely powerless against mono-steel?". So I did but with a little more adjustments. Attacking with STAB moves would be useless against steel, but needed with other types. Since I didn't want to do both, I didn't. Instead I decided to create a Nuclear wall that could hold other types down and ware them out with their slow-working, yet poisonous toxic. When I was getting started, I remembered that I have a Nuclear Wall in my PC box in black2. So this team is practically old and I am bringing it here to ask for advice to make this team actually work.
Behold: The Nuclear Wall!
Their aim....to stall, phase and really just to suck the life out of every living creature
The team viewed in detail
Nidoqueen @ Black sludge
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Tail
Nidoqueen is my lead and her purpose is to set up stealth rock. After stealth rocks have been set I keep her in until I have at least let two of the opponents Pokémon faint. Earth Power is the only STAB move I have on her and it does notable damage to everything that doesn't resist it. Fire Blast is Powerful and is there for coverage and Dragon tail is there to phase Pokémon out to have some entry hazard fun.
Weezing @ Black sludge
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Haze
- Thunderbolt
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
Weezing serves as my utility counter and defensive wall. It comes in on a ground move or resisted move burn it's opponent. Thunderbolt is just to give water types a little more headache when they think it is all over after they have brought Nidoqueen down. These bulky intoxicating twins are my team's largest wall with their uber large defense stat and their decent SpAtk stat, they usually hang around long enough
Gengar @ Choice scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
Gengar serves as my , spinblocker, and special Sweeper. This set is to trick opponents. How many people expect a choice scarfed Gengar? With it's Powerful moves it usually always leaves a remarkable scar in an opposing team before it faints.
Venusaur @ Black sludge
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 72 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 180 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
- Sunny Day
- Giga Drain/Solarbeam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Sleep Powder
Venusaur is my late-game sweeper. After Sleep Powder it can commence to sweep the last opposing Pokemon with just 1-3 growths it becomes a total monster and can OHKO-2HKO any Pokémon, even those who resist the omnipresent Giga drain
Drapion @ Black sludge
Trait: Battle Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 244 SDef / 16 Spd
Careful Nature
- Crunch
- Poison Jab
- Whirlwind
- Taunt
Drapion main job is to stall, phaze, and stop one of the greatest and most Powerful threats to this team.. Psychic moves if any of them hit, this team would go into complete waist. It can take a lot of hits and stop any set ups with taunt. Or just whirlwind you out of your set up. Crunch is my Stab move and so is Posion jab. Poison Jab is to try and Poison the opposing Pokémon and dmage the foe.
Tentacruel @ Black sludge
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spd
Bold Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic Spikes
- Scald
- Protect
Tentacruel serves as my specially defensive, supporting spinner. My 80-armed friend is now not only a monster special defensively but also physically. Sponging almost any attack and stalling the opponent's Pokémon to death is it's main job. Also to spin it's team out of the entry hazards, Tentacruel was a must have on this team
This was it then. Feel free to leave comments and a lot of advice.
