Ok, to start this is going to be my last mono-team post for probably the month.
This team is built out of my favourite psychic Pokémon that I often use, and that I can actually use well. Unintentionally 4 of the 6 happen to be legendary. When this team was finished I thought:
> Hey, why don't I ask the DB~users if they would like to point out an error to make this team better?
So here I am asking for advice. This team has surprisingly won me a decent amount of wins or should I say rage quits.
It is made out of various OU/UU-legendary psychic Pokémon and 2 notable psychic threats of the OU and UU tier : Metagross and Espeon with both their various roles.
I have done some adjustments to this team but no removed their members. I have only recreated it on Showdown and adjusted their EV and IV spread which was really bad at first. Their movesets have also been adjusted and they now all have clear roles to play in a battle.
Starring members
This team I really just made out of Pokémon I really like and use often.
Espeon:Although I never really use Espeon competitively I do have like 20 different Espeon in my PC box and tbh, I love them all.. The Espeon in this team is a copy of my favourite Espeon I breed just recently.
Latios:Even though Garchomp is a dragon that I often used Latios is really fantastic. I even forgot to put him on my favourite Pokémon list. Ever since I caught one in SS, I have always loved this guy. Fast, Powerful and with a decent bulk and built after my Latios in B2, I just needed to have this guy on my team*
Cresselia: The elegant swan of the moon. Cresselia has always managed to work herself in most of my teams. She is really here because of the fact that I usually always love gracious Pokémon and they never cease in suprising me all the time. When I thought of nice Wall, I thougt of Cresselia. I need help with her the most actually, so please help me find a decent wall set for her.
Jirachi: Why wouldn't I have her on this team. She is the star to my hart and I always use the same set on her...Haxrachi. She has worked herself in all my teams barring mono-poison, my rain team. With her all around coverage and reliable ParaFlinch, she is most definitely Hidden
Star to all my teams.
Meloetta: When I was thinking of a 5th Pokémon I was actually thinking of Volcarone, but then I noticed that the first 4 Pokémon were actually all psychic types and that 3 of them were legendary. I wanted to replace the legendaries, but this team was build out of my favoured Pokémon, so I decided to keep it this way. As for Meloetta, she is just the substitute for Azelf, since I didn't have much success with Azelf on my team, basically because I don't reall know how to use Azelf.
Metagross: Last but certainly not least is my trusty old 4-legged friend. An old favourite that even worked himself in the top 20 Pokémon I like even though he isn't exactly graceful. For this reason I called upon his name. And I also needed a physical attacker and there are already enough legendaries in this team, so yeah.
Enough with my intro, now, let's get to business.
The team viewed with a
Aurora (Espeon) (F) @ Light Clay
Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Espeon is my stealth rock bouncer, status bouncer and my Dual screener. A very important element of my team that is always my key to vicory. She brings her teammates' already high bulk to a divine level. Espeon is with no doubt the most important character of this team.
Luther (Latios) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
IVs: 30 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
Latios is my main sweeper. Specs is to bring is already high attack to a godly level and to destroy everything. Gastrodon can't switch in easily when latios is around and supported by the Dual screens. Hitting him with a status induing move after Espeon has fainted is the only way to bring him down, because even if you are scarfed, behind the Dual Screens, he is pretty much invincible.
Celestia (Cresselia) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd
Bold Nature
- Moonlight
- Toxic
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Cresselia is meant to be my wall, but even behind the Dual Screens she doesn't seem to fuction as well as she does on my other teams. I replaced Ice beam with psychic because of me having issues hitting hard enough on Pokémon. Hidden Power is to deal with the omnipresent Scizor. Behind the Dual Screen a U-turn froma Scizor, won't even do 50% damage as seen is this replay
Estelle (Jirachi) @ King's Rock
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Body Slam
- Ice Punch
- Iron Head
- U-turn
Jirachi is obviously my ParaFlincher and semi-physical attacker. Once under the paralysation of body slam, Jirachi opens the door for the rest of her teammates.
Calliope (Meloetta) @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SAtk / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Psychic
- Substitute
My second special sweeper. After a few Calm minds, this girl becomes a monster that destroys teams without mercy as seen in this replay . An essential element to my team for sure
Megatron (Metagross) @ Life Orb
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Agility
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
My Physical attacker. This is a standard agiltysweep set. Old, but still works effectively. There isn't much to say just don't let him set up agility or you might as well say gg
This was it. Please feel free to do any adjustments, EV/Nature/Items and Pokémon if needed.
