Format: Monotype
Victini @ Leftovers
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk
- Final Gambit //341 Damage
- Dazzling Gleam //Coverage
- Searing Shot //STAB
- Psychic //STAB
This is the Pokemon I based my team off of. Basically, This is to finish off annoying Pokemon Strategies. I know this is a very bad set for Victini, yet it sometimes works. I am thinking of replacing it with Volcarola.
Torkoal @ White Herb //Shell Smash
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Shell Smash //x2 Spe, Atk, & SpA
- Earthquake //Coverage
- Flame Wheel //STAB
- Rock Slide //Checks Volcarola, Beedril-Mega, Pelipper, etc.
The basic Shell Smash-White Herb set. Torkoal has a great Attack stat, and access to Shell Smash, so it makes it a great Physical Attacker.
Marowak-Alola @ Sitrus Berry //Belly Drum
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Belly Drum //Belly Drum
- Shadow Bone //STAB
- Thunder Punch //Coverage
- Earthquake //Coverage
A-Marowak has a great Attack stat, and with access to Bely Drum, you can make it a valuable part of your team. The only problem is that since Baton Pass was banned, you cannot give A-Marowak the speed it needs.
Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- Dragon Claw //STAB
- Fire Punch //STAB
- Earthquake //Coverage
- Thunder Punch //Takes care of Mono-Water
My favorite part of the show. With the ability Tough Claws and M-Charizard-Y's great Attack, it can really damage a team! I chose Jolly over Adamant to hit Pokemon first and maximum possible Speed in the case of Paralysis in Water teams.
Volcanion
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heat Wave //STAB
- Steam Eruption //STAB
- Solar Beam //Coverage
- Hidden Power [Dragon] //Less resistances
When a Pokemon (preferably Torkoal or Ninetails) will use a damaging Water move, bring out Volcanion. With more tolerance against Mono-Water teams, it can really help. I chose Heat Wave over Flare Blitz because 1) I would rather invest either in Attack or Special Attack than both, and 2) recoil.
Ninetales @ White Herb //Overheat
Ability: Drought //Powers up Overheat/Solar Beam
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic //Hex
- Hex //130 Damage w/ Toxic
- Solar Beam //Coverage
- Overheat //STAB
Drought powers up Overheat and the White Herb removes the stat drop the first time. Drought also lets you use Solar Beam in one turn. Toxic is to cripple the opponent and to double the power of Hex. Not the best Pokemon, and could use some editing.
I have tested this team out and it did fairly good. It may not be the best, but I am certainly getting better. I can post some of the replays if it will help. Thanks for reviewing my team!
